UX Design Process
Clear decisions. Better experiences.
I adapt my approach to the problem, the people affected and the realities of delivery. Research, design and validation inform one another throughout the work.
01 · Understand the problem
I start with user needs, the service context and business priorities. Early conversations, existing evidence and journey mapping help identify what is known, where people struggle and which assumptions need testing.
02 · Align on what matters
I work with product owners, engineers and subject-matter experts to clarify the problem and delivery constraints. Early Stakeholder Pair Design brings these perspectives together through sketching, workshops and rapid wireframing.
03 · Explore the experience
I use information architecture, flows, wireframes and prototypes to make alternatives tangible. The aim is to explain the reasoning behind a direction and identify trade-offs before investing in detailed interface design.
04 · Test and refine
I use feedback and usability testing to challenge assumptions and refine the experience. The method and level of prototype detail depend on the question being explored and the evidence available.
05 · Design for delivery
I develop clear visual hierarchy, reusable patterns and interaction states in collaboration with engineering. Technical feasibility and consistent behaviour shape the experience alongside visual craft.
06 · Learn from the outcome
I distinguish the intended benefit from what the evidence demonstrates. Reflection helps identify what worked, what remains uncertain and where further evaluation would be useful.
